Nebula Nights, 11 Authors, 11 stories, 99 cents.

NEBULA NIGHTS TOUR

Today, I've a whole bunch of my friends and fellow authors over talking about this mindblowing fabulous deal. 99 cents for not one, not two, not even five or ten books, but eleven books. That makes them 9 cents a book.

Space Rep: Wow! Can I interview the authors?
Liza: All eleven authors? Absolutely not.

Space Rep: May I interview one?

Liza: You may ask one author one question.

Space Rep: Melisse Aires, come on down!

Melisse: Hey Space Rep. What's up?

Space Rep: Why did you choose to bundle?

Melisse: Why Bundle? Good question, Space Rep.
I had not seriously thought about being in a bundle because the whole idea sounded massively complicated and time consuming! But one day I was hanging around the Sooper Sekrit Brigade Saloon and chatter turned to bundles in general. We realized there was interest and quite a few authors with first in series books ready to go!

Even better, we had a member who was very knowledgeable about the process. It sounded like a good way to meet new readers, so I decided to do it. I 'm glad I did. My co-authors are a fun and pleasant group to work with. Picking the cover and title was fun, and it came together so quickly. It has been exciting watching Nebula Nights move up the charts. A positive experience all around.

Liza: That does sound fabulous. I can't wait until I start publishing my Sci-Fi series so maybe I can do one of these.

Liza O space-naps Pippa Jay & her book Keir

Welcome space peeps. Today I'm space-napping a very talented author to learn about one of her very fine books.

Space Rep: Why didn't you just invite her for an interview?

Liza: Because she's really busy. She might say she couldn't come for three days. So I had no choice but to remove the chance of refusal by space-napping.

Space Rep: These space-napping are going to get you in trouble.

Liza: Nonsense. Authors are too nice to press charges. They're also too busy. The closest Judicial Seat is 200 light years away. While it's possible they could find new audiences on the way to court, there is no assurance Amazon has assimilated the planet yet. So they endure the loss of three days and move on.

And here is my new author victim now. Would you like to guess who it is?

Space Rep: UMMMM  Can you give me a hint?

Liza: This author spends the odd free moments trying to learn guitar, indulging in freestyle street dance and drinking high-caffeine coffee.

Space Rep:  Not a clue. Can I have another hint?

Liza: She's a stay-at-home mum of three who spent twelve years working as an Analytical Chemist in a Metals and Minerals laboratory.

Space Rep: Got it! Pippa Jay!

Liza: Well done!  Hi, Pippa Jay!

Pippa Jay: Liza? You need to fix the oxygen line in that helmet. I nearly suffocated!

Liza: There is no oxygen line in the helmet. Space Rep was supposed to guess faster.

Pippa Jay: Seriously? My life depended upon Space Rep guessing fast enough?

Liza: When you say it like that, I feel kind of bad.

Pippa Jay: Bad enough to let me out of this riot tube?

Liza: *laughs* Not a chance. You'll smack me on my head and transport out. So let's talk about the book I stole from your desk while kidnapping you.

Liza: First of all, did my transporter eat your color?

Pippa Jay: Nope. That's my cover.

Liza: Oh Good. Because that is one beautiful cover. So tell me about Keir.

Pippa Jay: Thank you! Keir is a 2012 Readers Favorite Award Finalist, 2013 Aspen Gold RWA Contest Finalist, and 2012 SFR Galaxy Award Winner.

Liza: Wow, it's got street cred! Now what's it about?

Pippa Jay: Outcast. Cursed. Dying. Is Keir beyond redemption?

Liza: I don't know. I haven't read it. Why are you asking me?

Pippa Jay: For Keirlan de Corizi--the legendary ‘Blue Demon’ of Adalucien--death seems the only escape from a world where his discolored skin marks him as an oddity and condemns him to life as a pariah. But salvation comes in an unexpected guise: Tarquin Secker, a young woman who can travel the stars with a wave of her hand.

But Quin has secrets of her own. She’s spent eternity searching through space and time with a strange band of companions at her back. Defying her friends’ counsel, Quin risks her apparent immortality to save Keir. She offers him sanctuary and a new life on her home world, Lyagnius.

When Keir mistakenly unleashes his dormant alien powers and earns instant exile from Quin’s home world, will she risk everything to stand by him again?

Liza: There you go with the questions again. If I had already read your book I would have written a review rather than space-napped you.

Pippa Jay: That would have been really nice, because I've got a ton of stuff I need to do.

Liza: Not happening. I'm keeping you for three days...and if someone doesn't comment, I may keep you longer. Now from memory, tell me a part of your book...and do not ask anymore questions.

Pippa Jay: By memory? I sleep like five hours a night...I don't have a memory. Sometimes I misname my kids.

Liza: And if you want to see your misnamed kids again, you'll tell us an excerpt.

Pippa Jay:  Okay, here goes...

Brilliant flashes of multicolored lights burst and bloomed like flowers in the sky, drawing him onto a small balcony outside.

He stood in the shadows and watched them in fascination, the night air cool on his skin and the wind stirring his hair. His quarters overlooked the stone bowl of the plaza in which they had arrived, a deep crater in the craggy mouth of the mountain that cupped the shell-like palace. Even in the glow of the illuminated sky, he could see nothing below the crater’s rim or the landscape beyond, all of it hidden by night’s dark mantle. The stars were white pinpricks, dimmed to insignificance by the explosion of lights and veiled by a mixture of smoke and wispy clouds.

Amidst the noise and flashes, the sound of movement drew his gaze aside. Quin stepped out onto the adjoining balcony to lean nonchalantly on the ledge and admire the show. The display forgotten, Keir immersed himself deeper in the shadows and watched her instead. Quin had unbound her hair, which now formed a wild red halo around her face. The formal robes had been exchanged for a short black slip that ended mid-thigh, and a long-sleeved robe of black lace. The gentle curves of her slim figure showed through the fabric. His eyes strayed to the white skin of her legs, like fine marble shaped and smoothed. What would it feel like to touch? Cool like stone? Or warm like velvet, soft as silk?

Unease tightened his muscles, and he tried to pull his gaze away. A Salusian woman would never expose herself like that. But she does not know I am here. I should not be looking. Even as he thought it, even as he berated himself for it, his gaze drifted back. A smile arched her lips as she watched the skies, as enchanted as a child. A stronger gust of wind brushed the hair back from her face and folded the satin cloth of her outfit taut around her figure.

A sudden sense of elation overwhelmed him, combined with the heat T’rill had inspired. Desire wrapped tight arms around his body. The heady mix stole his breath. No. Shame burned his skin. Quin was his friend, the first he had ever had. The first person to show him kindness in more years than he could count. Yet at that moment he wanted more. For the first time in remembrance, he wanted to touch and be touched in return. To hold her and have her return his embrace freely, with more than a friend’s affection. To feel her white skin under his fingertips. To brush the hair from her face as the breeze did now, and run his fingers through it.

His thoughts dishonored her gift of friendship to him.

Liza: Wow, I need to buy that. It sounds really good.

Pippa Jay: Thanks!

Liza: So where can I buy it?

Pippa Jay: Can I go now?

Liza: First, you have to say something nice about my book, Worst Week Ever.

Pippa Jay: Worst Week Ever is the romance equivalent of America’s Funniest Home Videos. Read. Laugh. Cringe. And be grateful it isn’t happening to you. :P

Liza: Thank you. That sums up my book really well. In three days, I'll let you go. I want to give peeps a chance to stop by and buy your book first and read your nice comment about my book.

AND LEAVE COMMENTS. Pippa will be very bored if you don't. She'll have nothing to read, because I'm taking her book with me to read.

Pippa Jay: Eeep!

My Brandy New Sci Fi Romance blog just beamed down

Welcome Aliens and Earthlings.
I have landed.
I have resisted sharing my Sci-Fi-Romance long enough. I cannot remain silent so I have built this space so my writings of the future will have their own place to dance and play.

The very first full length novel I wrote was a Sci-Fi. And because I write three dimensional characters, naturally there was romance.

I've been writing SciFi ever since. I've over 20 novels now. And it's time I start publishing them. So I'd like your advice upon which book should I start with.

Here are some of my favorites. Let me know which sounds best to you.

Covers are my artwork standing in until they get proper covers.

Five hundred years from now, the necessity of population control and a preference for male children has resulted in a shortage of women. Down from the Appalachian Mountains, comes Tori White: an unusually tall and muscular young woman who is deceived into signing a lifelong contract as a concubine. Entirely unsuitable for the position, she soon finds herself slotted for the ‘beds,’ where few live beyond a month. Yet, her honest and forthright manner charms the head of security into saving her and sets her upon a path in which she becomes the ‘heart’ of the world and the savior of man’s future.

With the prodding by the her sister’s spirit, Saran and their giant blue bull leave their farm in search of a handler/husband so they can escape Earth and travel Outbound. The man she meets and falls in love with is her ghost sister’s husband and their spiritual joining sets into play a prophecy written a millions years before. They lead a colony of people to a new world where the dominant intelligent species is blue cattle. Facing harsh seasonal weather patterns, giant bears and T-Rexes, every day in their Paradise is a challenge to survive.

Alisha Cane has taught herself to fly beyond the limits of the possible. Recruited into the SkyRyder’s Corp, the army of the future, she both succeeds and fails in dramatic turns. Follow the life of this extraordinary ‘debutante’ turned ‘street girl’ turned ‘soldier’ and the men who put their own careers at risk protecting her through her volatile career.

Billionaire David Ross has created a sanctuary for an alien species that superficially resembles Earth’s black panther. This race is superior in both strength and longevity to humans. David’s plan is to seed a new world with the offspring of these aliens and selected humans. Contrary to the covenants of the project, he sends a special young woman named Jesse to the island against her will. Her arrival changes more than he planned.

A near-term futuristic novel of human’s first attempt to seed Saturn’s moon, Titan with a colony in case Earth falls into an ice-age humans cannot survive. Bringing the brightest young minds on earth to a secret compound, the needed technological advancements are accomplished with remarkable speed. Yet the clash of personalities and differing philosophical beliefs threaten the survival of all involved.

Dawn Brown is beautiful, strong and smart. She is the best security protection a man can have. She has the ability to scan the minds of people around her, and can isolate trouble. She also has the ability to obliterate that trouble with a single thought, but to her handler’s frustration she continues to resist using that skill. She is given to a Mid-east Sheik, critical to the peace talks in the region, with the orders to protect him at all costs. The sheik does not believe a woman is capable of protecting him, but he has a penchant for long legged blondes. Dawn discovers she must walk a fine line between protection and play to keep the sheik safe but amused.

I've sent one of these to a publisher for consideration. But which one sounds the best to you?

Leave me a comment and let me know. Also if you can, follow my blog. It's newly born and has no satellites circling it.

Space towels are very handy for those of us who travel multi-universes. I mostly use mine as a hide-from-the-monster towel. You would be surprised exactly how many species will leave you alone if you put a towel over your head.
