Steam Punk adventures by Jayne Fury

It’s takeover time! Thanks Liza for letting me wax on about my latest releases.

Salvete and well met. I’m Jayne Fury, a USAToday Bestselling Author of quirky speculative fiction with romantic elements. My books have a little pulp and a little romance. I write both ScifiRom and Urban Fantasy.

My two latest releases are a fun romp into fairytale retellings and set in a steampunk world. One is a novelette and the other is a short novel set in the Solar Flame universe. These romances are set in a scifi universe where corporate greed has taken on galactic proportions but despite that, or perhaps because of it, love finds a way.

Strong heroines. Smart men. Impossible odds.

I love steampunk. I’ve been into it for over twenty years and attended the first Steampunk convention in Seattle. I’m a bit obsessed and a little confused as to why I haven’t written in this genre before. But finally...

Corsets & Cogs

The first of my releases this month is in the release Corsets and Cogs: A Steampunk Fiction Collection with 24 other stories. It’s the number one new release in Gaslamp Fantasy. My contribution, Royal Ruse, is a sweetly told story told in classic fairytale style… a steampunk fairy tale… in space.

Rose Wappington is a war-weary soldier out to seek her fortune in the wide wide universe. The planet of Qaomori beckons with the promise of a bright future. But first, she’ll need to solve the mystery of where the twelve princes disappear to at night.
If she fails, she’ll lose her head.

Royal Ruse is a whimsical role-reversal retelling of The Twelve Dancing Princesses fairy tale… plus airships, mad science, and mystery.

This limited-time anthology features tales of whimsy and wonder rife with gaslamp masquerades, steam-driven dirigibles, clockwork landscapes, gadgets and gears, and more.

Gaslight & Graves

The second story is an expanded version of Royal Ruse. This story is novel length with lots more detail and romantic shenanigans. It’s called Midnight Dance.

This story ready for preorder in Gaslight and Graves for 99ß

BIO:
~ USA Today bestselling, author of SciFi Romance and Urban Fantasy ~

Jayne Fury was raised in New York by a Boy Scout and a flock of canonical penguins. She went to university in Rome where she developed her lifelong love of shoes. When she returned she promptly moved West because she’s left handed and claustrophobic. She has walked across Spain. Twice.

Jayne lives on her urban farm in the Pacific Northwest with cats, backyard velociraptors, ukuleles, all the yarn, and extremely tolerant husband.

Jayne’s Solar Flame universe is quirky space opera with a little pulp and a little romance. Her Guardians of Ghael Urban fantasy series is the noir lovechild of Dashiell Hammett and Cowboy Bebop.

  1. Really loved all the books in CORSETS AND COGS. And I'm not just saying it because I was in this anthology. I read all the other stories and they were very entertaining with excellent world building and lovable characters. Jayne's ROYAL RUSE was awesome.
