In 2014 I'll be coming out with a futuristic series about a fabulous series called The SkyRyders. This is just a stand-in cover.
Alisha Cane has taught herself to fly beyond the limits of the possible. Recruited into the SkyRyder’s Corp, the army of the future she both succeeds and fails in dramatic turns. Follow the life of this extraordinary ‘debutante’ turned ‘street girl’ turned ‘soldier’ and the men who put their own careers at risk protecting her through her volatile career.

When she had opened the possibility of him rescinding his offer, Logan was tempted. His change of mind had nothing to do with her attitude or the ethical gray areas in which she had dabbled. What bothered him was his feeling for her.
She had talent, and yes, he believed, despite much evidence to the contrary, she was an ethical person. But creating a situation in which he would be around her twenty-four hours a day, every day—it was as good as wondering if you uncoupled the train tracks, would the trains wreck.
Which, he observed, was an expression that Alisha wouldn’t even understand, having never even seen a train.
With a sinking premonition of disaster, he held to his offer and let them both into Daniel Kane’s room.
“Gramps, the colonel is getting me into the Corp! Once I’m a Ryder, I’ll be able to buy your medication on my health plan.” She knelt down beside her grandfather and looked up into his tired old face. “Won’t you please take your medicine? I won’t do anything bad again, I promise you.”
“Don’t promise me. It’s the colonel’s career on line, not mine,” Daniel Kane said.
